Julián Araujo has added a small bit of intrigue to the ongoing talk around his Celtic future.
The right-back, who spent last season on loan in Glasgow, posted an Instagram story alongside @supreme213, better known as Mr. Singer, a well-known Los Angeles-based entrepreneur and local business figure.
The detail that caught the eye was not just the photo itself, but what Mr. Singer was wearing.
He had a Celtic shirt on with Araujo’s name and number on the back.

It may turn out to be nothing more than a show of support from someone close to the player, but the timing makes it interesting. Araujo’s future remains unclear after the end of his loan spell, and there has already been discussion around whether Celtic could look to bring him back next season.
Araujo had a mixed but promising spell at Parkhead. There were moments where he showed exactly why supporters would like to see him return, especially with his energy, pace and ability to get up and down the right side.
He did not get a perfect run, and like several players in a difficult campaign, there is a feeling Celtic may not have seen the best of him yet.
That is why a return still makes sense to plenty of supporters.
At minimum, another loan would give Celtic a player who already understands the club and the demands of Scottish football. At best, if the numbers worked, a permanent deal would be an interesting one to explore.
Right-back is not an area Celtic can ignore this summer. Martin O’Neill is now in charge permanently, and the squad rebuild is already beginning to take shape.
There is also the wider loan question.
Marcelo Saracchi is another player whose future is being watched closely, with reports claiming he is keen to return to Celtic after his own loan spell. That shows the club may have decisions to make on players who have already been in the building and know what is expected.
Araujo falls into that category.
An Instagram story does not confirm anything. It does not mean a deal is close, and it should not be treated that way.

But when a player’s name is already being talked about in connection with a possible Celtic return, seeing his shirt appear in that setting is always going to catch attention.
For now, it is another small hint around a situation supporters will be watching closely.
Celtic need strong options this summer, and many fans would have no issue seeing Araujo back in green and white.
