Julian Araujo is back on the South Coast as he recovers from an injury he’s picked up at Celtic.

Martin O’Neill is unsure whether or not the Mexican right-back will be back for the late afternoon trip to Dundee after the international break.

It’ll be a sweat, with Colby Donovan heading off injured at the weekend as Dundee United beat Celtic. It leaves Anthony Ralston as Celtic’s only fit right-back, with Alistair Johnston still to become available after his injury.

And now Araujo has taken to Instagram to post a cryptic message with his Celtic future up in the air.

That translates to “What God left behind will never be better than what lies ahead.”

Is he hinting that his Celtic career has come to an end, and his loan has been cut short? If so, it’s a sad and sudden end to his Celtic career.

Brought in under Nancy, there wasn’t much fanfare, but he’s impressed in recent months and has become a real fan favourite.

There have even been some hopeful fans wanting the player to be kept on beyond this summer, but the Cherries would command a high fee, and the player would need to take a wage drop.  

Whatever happens, hopefully the club can communicate.
