Details have been released about Celtic’s friendly against French side Rennes with the game scheduled for December, 10 at 10am Celtic Park time [Rennes].

After extending their lead at the top of the SPFL Premiership to nine points, Celtic travelled to Australia to take on Sydney FC and Everton in Ange Postecoglou’s homecoming before getting a short break.

Those matches feel like a long time ago with Celtic fans looking forward to the match away to Aberdeen in just over a weeks time as domestic football resumes.

Firstly though, the Bhoys will get put through their paces at their warm weather training camp in Portugal before taking on the Ligue 1 side.

It is likely that Celtic’s World Cup stars will be given extended time off with Aaron Mooy, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Daizen Maeda now expected to great a break after their countries have been put out the World Cup with Josip Juranovic the only Celtic star remaining at the tournament.

The matches in Sydney were broadcast on Celtic TV with it hoped that there will be a similar arrangement in place.
