Celtic’s fresh summer recruit, Luis Palma, is gradually turning heads in green and white, following a somewhat tepid beginning to his Hoops journey.

The lad found the net against Motherwell at Fir Park, and then against Kilmarnock just before the players dispersed for international duty. And let’s not forget the nearly magical moment against Lazio; if it weren’t for a harsh offside call, Palma would’ve surely bagged a match-winning goal in the Champions League for the Bhoys.

As Palma’s minutes on the pitch have increased, his knack for finding the back of the net with precision is becoming apparent. His strikes have been sharp.

Back in his homeland of Honduras, the football experts had quite the chatter about Palma’s potential, particularly lauding his prowess in dead ball situations. The word around is that Luis could be the man to watch when it comes to free kicks around the box.

Celtsarehere got the scoop that Palma could be a major asset for Celtic in set piece scenarios. Currently, Celtic’s got a bit of a void when it comes to deadball specialists. David Turnbull could be the man, but he hasn’t been a regular under Rodgers. So, the hope is that Palma could be the guy to fill this void, using his lethal set piece skills to change the game. If he’s showing what he can do on the training field, surely it’s only a matter of time before he’s given the opportunity.
