Scott Brown’s route out of Celtic looks clearer this morning after it was reported Aberdeen have now gone as far as offering the Celtic captains two/year deal at Pittodrie.

The Dons are able to offer Brown terms because he’s in the final few months of his Hoops deal.

New Aberdeen boss, Stephen Glass wants to get his backroom team sorted as soon as possible.

He can’t have Broony in until next season but he could make the deal official before then.

SunSport report the Celtic legend has been offered a two-year player/coach deal at the club and he’s now mulling things over.

Brown has been told he’s still wanted at Celtic but a new deal only comes in the form of a one-year extension on reduced terms.

Celtic fans are split when it comes to the captain staying it going. His on the field presence is still there but there’s no doubt he should be playing a lesser role. Many want him to stay just so we have as much continuity as possible in the dressing room next term when a bee set up comes in.

We will have to wait and see what decision the captain makes.
