Celtic legend, Davie Hay, alluded to something that Celtic fans are already thinking, hoping, praying about. That Timo Weah will spend more than six months at Celtic.

If that’s an extension of his current loan deal or a very dreamed up permanent move like his old PSG pal Eduard, it’s all good for Celtic fans. Writing for the Evening Times, Davie sees no reason why a loan deal extension can’t benefit all parties.

Right now, he looks like such a good fit for Celtic – and Celtic looks like a good fit for him.At just 18, there is a lot of maturing still to do for Weah but I wonder about the prospect of having this exposure now, playing in front of a big crowd, responding and thriving under that pressure and enjoying some success and then thinking that he could have to go back to his parent club and not play in Paris.

Weah has done all his damage so far coming from the bench. He’s failed to get in on the goals in the two starts he’s been given, this could make Brendan Rodgers mind up with selection for this weekends Scottish Cup clash with St. Johnstone at Celtic Park.

Weah offers the Celtic boss something completely different with his runs in behind defenders topped off with his electrifying pace.
