Celtic are reportedly joining the race to sign young Aston Villa goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo.

As reported by Birmingham Live, Sinisalo is set to enter the final year of his contract, and that has attracted the interest of several clubs looking to make a move.

Some of Europe’s giants are reportedly part of those sides, with the likes of Bayern and RB Leipzig being mentioned as potential suitors.

The 19-year old has experience playing in Scotland, spending last season on loan with Championship side Ayr United and impressing in his 29 appearances at the Honest Men.

It appears that Celtic could be making a move for a new goalkeeper and potential number one with recent links to Australian and Brighton stopper Mat Ryan.

The Hoops’ goalkeeper position has been a problem in the past 12 months, with Vasilas Barkas, Scott Bain and Conor Hazard all having a spell between the sticks.

So, the first thing that new manager, Ange Postecoglou, looks to be trying to fix is that position.
