Midfielder Ryan Christie is reportedly attracting foreign interest from France, with Nice and Monaco looking to make a move.

As reported by the Sunday Post, the 25-year old has mostly been subject to interest from English Premier League sides, with the likes of Southampton and Burnley being mentioned.

Now, the two Ligue 1 sides have supposedly joined the race to sign Christie, and it is thought that he could prefer a move abroad rather than down south.

Currently, Christie has less than a year left on his contract with the Hoops, which bizarrely ends in January at the beginning of next year.

This would likely allow teams to try and bring the midfielder in on a cheap deal, so the club will likely need to look to make more money off the deal in the future with possible sell-on fees.

Last season, Celtic supporters expressed their frustration at the attacking midfielder for some of his performances last campaign.

So, whilst he showed talent and ability at the club, some will probably say they wouldn’t mind seeing him depart in the summer.

However, one disappointment with the deal is allowing him to run down his contract, which means we won’t get as much money out of the deal at this stage.

  1. He’ll not be missed.

Hooked at H/T against the Czech Republic and not even starting or coming on against England is going to be a sore one on that ego of his.

He’ll end up at some middle of the road side and never be heard of again, i’ve seen this movie many, many, many times before.
