According to ‘in the know’ the Hoops are looking back into both Patrick Berg and Kasper Junker as potential January signings.
CeltsAreHere was told by a source close to the club in the summer that both players had been thoroughly scouted by the club, but nothing came of it in the end.
However, as we sit just over a month out from the January window, we appear to be looking at some familiar faces to bolster the squad.
Patrick Berg is a 24-year-old defensive midfielder with a huge upside. The Norwegian currently plays for FK Bodø/Glimt and will be heading into the last year of his contract in January.
Kasper Junker is a Danish centre forward currently playing in the J-League. The 27-year old plays for the Urawa Reds and if he’s being seriously looked at for January – you know Ange is pushing for the signing.
We’re light in midfield and Ajeti might be heading out in January so both signings would make sense.
Celtic Underground don’t usually post out rumours unless there’s a bit of substance to them, but like with any preparation for a transfer window – it doesn’t guarantee we’ll sign either.
