Jenz, who hails from Berlin, made 19 appearances for Celtic and was a key player in the club’s Champions League campaign, with Starfelt injured for the six matches.
Celtic fans had high hopes that Jenz would make his move to the Scottish club permanent, especially given his consistent performances during Carl Starfelt’s absence due to a knee injury.
However, Jenz chose to spend the second half of the season with Schalke, a decision that saw him part of a team that was ultimately relegated from the Bundesliga. Despite this setback, Jenz’s performances caught the attention of Wolfsburg, leading to his recent transfer.
This move marks a return to the Bundesliga for Jenz and offers him the opportunity to further his career in one of Europe’s top leagues. His time at Celtic, albeit brief, was marked by solid performances and he will be looking to bring the same level of commitment and skill to his new club.
