Celtic have already signed two players this summer.

Odin Thiago Holm was brought in from Norwegian outfit Valerenga; meanwhile, young Australian winger Marco Tilio signed from Melbourne City.

Now, it appears another name could be added to this list of arrivals in Hyun-jun Yang.

Previously, it was reported his club, Gangwon FC, were blocking a move to Celtic despite the player’s extreme desire for it to happen.

However, a report from the South Korean outlet Sport Chosun states Gangwon has turned in a positive direction regarding a move, and they have resolved the resentment with the player.

It is said in the report that Yang himself met with his club’s CEO and that a positive message was conveyed to him.

The possibility of a move to Celtic for the 21-year-old has now increased and ‘remains a matter of time’.

Should this one come off, Celtic would be getting a talented player on their hands. After all, Yang was the K. League’s Young Player of the Year for 2022.

Nevertheless, he does have lots of room for improvement and is still only young, so it seems this move could be of the same ilk as the Marco Tilio one.

Furthermore, it is intriguing to note the South Korean is also a right winger, a position in which the Hoops have a number of options at the minute.

Having Yang, Liel Abada, Tilio, and James Forrest would be a bit excessive, so the club could well be preparing for the exit of a player in advance if this signing is completed.
