CELTIC have opted not to train at the Aspmyra Stadion ahead of their crucial match against Bodo/Glimt. Roma went down the same path before losing 6-1. [Daily Record]

The plastic pitch will undoubtedly cause Celtic problems, and it does not meet the same standards as a grass pitch. However, this won’t be Celtic’s only worry. The sides are set to face off during a thunderstorm, with sleet falling and 50 mph winds rushing through the park.

It would have made sense for Celtic to travel to the stadium and feel for the pitch. In a crucial game, it is a strange decision not to.

Not training at the ground could come back to haunt the hoops, but the side does play on plastic pitches in Lennoxtown and Scotland.

Celtic have a challenging task at hand; you would think they would try everything possible to give them an advantage. If the side are to progress to the next round, they must win by at least two goals and beat the Norwegian side in a penalty shoot-out or win by three goals.
