If there’s one youth player who’s progress hit the breaks and even started rolling back down the hill because of Neil Lennon, it was Ewan Henderson.

The Celtic midfielder was starting to see more game time under Brendan Rodgers and was making more squads than not.

Brendan Rodgers left the building promptly and Neil Lennon came back into the fold.

Ewan wasn’t even used sparingly by Neil and true to form, he decided to lean on senior players at the expense of keeping Ewan in and around the first team.

Henderson dropped off the radar and has been sent out on loan a couple of times now.

Now at Dunfermline, the creative midfielder is enjoying a bit of freedom and he’s showing his qualities for his loan side.

Ewan grabbed two assists at the weekend and they were both very well played.

Ewan’s older brother Liam once had the same struggle at Celtic and decided to leave the club in search of first team football. Liam is still in Italy since his move away from Celtic.

There is an opportunity for Ewan to come back in the summer and show his worth to a new manager. Like many of the young players, they could see this as a new start.

  1. What a load of crap. Lennon had hendo in plenty of squads and even played him in Europa League, where he’d did very well. How long before you claim Neil Lennon is solely responsible for global warming and covid pandemic??
    Are you even Celtic supporters?

    • Global Warming and the Covid ‘pandemic’ are both scams, tailor made for the gullible among us, which there seems to be many, it would be ludicrous to blame Neil Lennon for those.
