CELTIC have confirmed there will be a UK and Ireland media blackout of tonight’s game after the club has opted NOT to show the game live on Celtic TV like the last round.

The club streamed the second leg of the Sarajevo tie last week AFTER all standard tickets had been sold out but seeing as this game is not close to a sellout – the club have opted not to show the game on TV and is trying to get more fans to come along on the night.

It’s a bit of a double whammy for supporters; not being on CelticTV or on the season ticket. Many have been irked that the club gives season ticket holders a throw away friendly as part of the season ticket instead of giving them the first and second-round Champions League ties considering there are now four.

Pricing these tickets at £23per adults means Celtic Park isn’t close to a sellout. It’s understandable for families as they’ve already had to shell out for season tickets and two kits have been released as well as Celtic festival tickets. Some Celtic bill could be into the thousands and we’re only in July!

Had this game sold out or been part of the season ticket it would have probably appeared on Celtic TV for all subscribers. The club has chosen not to do so and it will be a dodgy link for anyone who isn’t going along on the evening. Oh, you can listen to an audio stream of the Celtic TV commentary…

  1. Bad enough watching a behind closed doors match (no fan noise) on celtic tv. But with sound only it’ll be absolute murder.
