BBC Pundit and former Hearts player Michael Stewart believes his old side might just edge it today in the Scottish Cup Final.

Celtic take on Hearts with last season’s Scottish Cup on the line and Stewart believes it could go to extra time and penalties with the Jambos coming out on top.

It’s true Celtic are not in the best run of form but they are coming into the final having won their last two games. Confidence is much better in the camp than it was just a few weeks ago.

Stewart, speaking to BBC Sportscene said:

“I think it could go to extra-time and penalties. I think Hearts might sneak it.”

Chic young was on hand to imagine the scenario where former Celtic invincible treble winner Craig Gordon saves the penalty that stops Celtic from landing the quadtreble.

That scenario could play out today, we just don’t know. We live in peculiar times where Craig Gordon should’ve still been on the books with Celtic when this final should have taken place back in May.

Football is a funny old game and Celtic can’t take anything for granted. We await to see Neil Lennon’s starting XI, never has a lineup felt more unpredictable.
