It has been revealed this evening that Celtic have been forced to recall, on-loan goalkeeper Ross Doohan from his spell at Ross County which was supposed to last until the end of the season after he was named amongst the substitutes for tonight’s game against Hibernian

So far, it is unconfirmed who the players that have to self-isolate are. However, with Conor Hazard in goals and both Vasilias Barkas and Scott Bain missing, add to that Doohan’s inclusion you would have to think those two are part of that group of players.

It is unfortunate that the club has ultimately been forced to make this decision. When the other keepers return it is highly likely Doohan will not feature again and go out on loan to another club.

However, this actually may come as a good thing when it comes to the 22-year olds development. This season, he has only featured five times for the Staggies and found himself on the bench for the vast majority of games, so this could allow him to get more game time elsewhere, come the end of the window.
