The Serie A champions are preparing to bolster their squad for the upcoming season and view O’Riley as a key target.

After a standout season at Celtic Park, which attracted attention from major European clubs including Atletico Madrid during the January transfer window, O’Riley’s future at Celtic remains uncertain. The Spanish giants were previously unsuccessful in their bid to secure his services, and now Inter Milan appears to be the latest club interested in the midfielder.

Inter Milan considered a January move for Matt O’Riley. They had prepared an offer of an initial loan until the end of the season with an obligation to buy him in the summer.

Simone Inzaghi’s team clinched the Serie A title with a victory over local rivals AC Milan earlier this month, and they are already planning summer reinforcements. Reports suggest that Inter have been closely monitoring O’Riley’s performances and are contemplating a summer transfer.

  1. This is going to be an ongoing story possibly all summer regarding the future of Oreily and ourselves?
Personally think we will do very well to keep hold of Oreily myself?
Yet with the euros also on during the summer, and calmac also away for them, then the club should be identifying potential midfielders NOW, especially when reinforcements are required weather Oreily stays or goes?
Even if the decision regarding Paulo as a permanent signing has to be made also?
Along with the game time upon the use of calmac?
So overall the midfield areas potentially needs a far bit of work required during the summer, especially when we could be potentially looking at possibly 7 midfielders within a 25man squad next season imo?
