It’s still a month or so away but Celtic have already received a boost in their pursuit of a Scottish Cup final place with the news former Parkhead target Scott McKenna is OUT of the tie.

Celtic have beaten Partick Thistle, Clyde and art Johnstone to get to Hampden and will now face Aberdeen for a place in the final.

The Dons have been in quite a few encounters with Celtic at Hampden over the past three years. Some of the games have been tight while Celtic have run away with others.

McKenna is one of their top players, SunSport report Scott is our for the rest of the season. Horrible news for the defender but good news for Celtic.

Aberdeen’s saving grace right now is they have time to settle somebody in the position before the semi-final. Celtic won’t be looking too much at what McInnes and his side have and will be focussed on what they themselves are bringing to the table.

The game will be played either the 11/12 of April.
