Just a matter of weeks after Celtic lifted the 2019/20 Scottish Cup, the Hoops are set to be introduced into this seasons competition at the third round stage, which will be drawn this afternoon.

Neil Lennon’s men will be looking to make it five Scottish Cups in a row during this campaign, starting with our third round opponents.

The draw is set to take place at 11 AM this morning with a mixture of names in the hat as Premiership sides are introduced to the competition.

In this season, the Scottish Cup really could be a massive one for the Bhoys. After a poor start to the season, we now find ourselves 19 points behind in the title race and have given ourselves an extremely tough task, to retain the title.

As well as this, Celtic was also knocked out of the Betfred Cup by Premiership side Ross County at Celtic Park in the 2nd round stage. So realistically we could be in a do or die situation in this competition, being possibly our only chance of silverware this season.

A home draw is usually what is wanted from Cup ties but we are currently on a run of 11 years without defeat in an away Scottish Cup tie.

These ties will be played on the weekend of the 30th of January.
