Celtic are seriously interested in bringing former youth player Aaron Hickey back to the club from Hearts should the Tynecastle side be relegated.

Hickey has been one of the better players for the club this season in what’s been a terrible campaign for the Jambos.

MailSport claim Celtic are keeping an eye on what’s happening at Hearts and could pounce if Hearts need the money following relegation.

That’s still up in the air at the moment with reconstruction on the table for the time being. It will be interesting to see if Aaron would want to return to Celtic. The reason he left in the first place was to get first-team game time. That is never a guarantee at Celtic but the left-back position isn’t sewn up by any stretch of the imagination.

It’s good to see Celtic are being proactive and they’re starting to look at potential players to come in for the ten in a row tilt.
