Celtic’s manager, Ange Postecoglou, has been strongly associated with a move for the 20-year-old, who has already earned caps for his country and is set to participate in the Euros Under 21s Finals this summer.

Porto, Atalanta, and RB Leipzig have also been linked with the Luzern captain, who likely bid farewell to the club’s supporters when he was substituted in their final match of the season against Servette at the weekend.

Jashari has now spoken out about the speculation surrounding his future, responding to questions about interest from Celtic and other European clubs.

He stated: [Daily Record]

“Right now I play for FC Luzern. Then I am going on a short holiday until the Euros with the Under 21s. Then we will see what happens after that.

“To move abroad is not so easy and I don’t want to commit myself to one particular country at the moment. What I would say is if the project is right, then the league is not relevant.”

Jashari still has three years remaining on his contract and is expected to command a fee of at least £5 million from interested clubs. It’s a fee that Celtic can pay if they are keen on bringing the young talent to Paradise.
