The whispers of Ange Postecoglou’s potential move to Tottenham Hotspur continue to echo through London media. The Celtic faithful, however, remain steadfast in their desire to keep Ange in Glasgow at Celtic Park beyond this summer.

According to The London Standard, Tottenham are set to intensify their pursuit of Postecoglou following Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final. The Celtic head coach has emerged as a strong contender to succeed Antonio Conte at Spurs permanently.

The Australian’s impressive tenure at Celtic has caught the eye of Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who is spearheading the search for a new head coach and director of football.

To fuel the rumours more – among Postecoglou’s admirers at the London club is the incoming chief football officer Scott Munn, a fellow Australian who shares a personal connection with Postecoglou according to The Standard.

Munn is set to officially become Levy’s de facto No2 in July, potentially strengthening the ties between Postecoglou.

The Bhoys are aiming to seal an eighth domestic treble in their history. Ange can join the likes of Jock Stein and Martin O’Neill by sealing a Scottish Cup victory at the weekend.

The one major carrot for Ange to stay on at Celtic is having another crack at the Champions League. The bhoys have already qualified for the group stage by winning the SPFL title, and after last season’s disappointment in the competition, the Celtic gaffer will feel he and his team has more to give.
