There are a number of talented young players within the ranks at Celtic. Some standout names include Mitchel Frame, Mackenzie Carse, and Rocco Vata.

Jack Donnelly is another and according to Daily Record, the Scotland under-16 internationalist, who currently plays for the Hoops’ under-18s team, has signed a pre-contract with the club for his first professional deal.

The three-year contract will come into play in July 2024 and it is said the Celts have seen off interest from England to keep their hands on Donnelly.

In the current first-team at Lennoxtown, there are a number of academy success stories. The likes of Callum McGregor, James Forrest, and Anthony Ralston have all made their way up through the ranks meanwhile past players such as Kieran Tierney and Aiden McGeady have done so previously.

This proves there is a chance for youngsters to make it to the senior team and in years to come, Donelly will be eager to do so. His name is one to watch going forward as he aims to knock on Brendan Rodgers’ door.
