We reported earlier this afternoon that Celtic B triumphed over Rangers B in the Glasgow Cup on Tuesday – the Hoops winning 3-1 in the end.
What we didn’t tell you was Rangers B had TWO first team players in their starting XI for the game. Both John Souttar and Rıdvan Yılmaz started the game at the Rangers Training Centre.
The pair would only get forty-five minutes before being brought off. While on the pitch, they couldn’t effect the game. After the break, the B side would run riot over their Glasgow counterparts and hit three past them. The Bhoys didn’t even have their best player Rocco Vata to call upon, with the player still out injured at the moment.

In the lowland league, the rules are very strict about who can play for both sides. In the Glasgow Cup, there’s an opportunity to play senior players.
Celtic B made it three out of three for the club after the first team beat the Ibrox side 2-1 to clinch the League Cup. The Women’s side thumped the Rangers women 3-0 and now the B sides victory. It’s a great time to be a Celtic fan.
If you haven’t been paying attention to the B team this season, you really should do your homework. The bhoys could go top of the Lowland League if they win their game in hand. The youngsters have been going very well in recent times and some of the players are catching the eye of Ange Postecoglou.
