JACK HENDRY is reportedly wanted by two Scottish clubs as the transfer window winds down. Celtic have until September 2nd to get any business done either in or out of the club and are now in a race against time.

RecordSport have claimed Celtic messed Hull City about when they were interested in taking Hendry from Celtic last month either on loan or a permanent deal.

The report claims Celtic were slow to get back to the English club and even hiked up the price in the end which put the club off a move for the defender.

Record sport writes: “Hendry is surplus to requirements at the champions but had the potential chance to move to Hull City earlier this month.

“But Celtic stalled on the offer and then went back asking for more money. By that time, though, the Tigers had already moved on to another target.”

If that’s the case, someone at Celtic Park has been taking their stupid pills this month for sure. Hendry is surplus to requirements and to get the player off the books would be a no brainer. It’s hard to get extra money for a player you have zero intention of playing going forward. We can only hope these reports are wide of the mark.

Hendry is being chased by Kilmarnock and Motherwell now with a potential loan deal being the most likely outcome from either clubs interest.
