CALLUM MCGREGOR doesn’t miss many games for Celtic and even though he’s took a sore during the St Johnstone game at the weekend it looks like the midfielder will play against Livingston.

The Celtic midfielder has been injured in bizarre fashion with Neil Lennon confirming it was his own teammate, Nir Bitton who did the damage at McDermid Park.

Button smashed the ball off of CalMac’s hand from around five yards away and Celtic’s iron man has been in discomfort ever since.

The player will now go into the Livingston game wearing a protective strap on the hand he hurt to ensure he can play the game, Neil Lennon confirmed to RecordSport.

“Nir Bitton absolutely hammered the ball at him from five yards away

“He came legging it over and said he needed a caffeine shot.

“He was feeling a little bit of discomfort in it this morning, but he should be ok.”

Celtic head to Livingston for the second time this season knowing they were beaten last time out against the home side. It was a day where nothing went right for the bhoys. Ryan Christie getting sent off and Christopher Jullien losing it against Lyndon Dykes. Hopefully, the team have learned lessons.
