GREG TAYLOR’s form could about to be rewarded for his fantastic form after it’s been revealed that Scotland captain Andy Robertson will miss the country’s upcoming Nations League matches through injury.

The player has been involved with Steve Clarke’s squads in the past, with the Celtic left-back commonly just making up the numbers and providing some backup to Robertson and Tierney.

With Kieran Tierney starring in the centreback role for his country, Clarke may opt to recognise his former player’s form and give him the starting jersey.

It’s likely that Taylor will have some tough competition, though. Aaron Hickey has been impressive at Brentford since he made the move to the Premier League from Bologna in the summer. However, Clarke has utilized the player on the opposite side in the past, meaning there could still be a space for Taylor.

The Celtic left-back has been brilliant since Ange Postecoglou took over at the club, almost like a new player. He’s nailed down the starting role and continues to star weekly. Hopefully, he’ll get the chance to perform in a double header against Ukraine and Scotland’s home fixture against Ireland.
