Callum McGregor has regained his place in the Scotland starting eleven against Austria after being dropped to the bench on Saturday. He was brought onto the pitch halfway through the second half.

This is a must-win game for Scotland if they hope to participate in next years World Cup, but Austria will not be an easy game.

Scotland currently sits third in their qualifying group, a point above tonight’s opponents and two points below Isreal. Denmark is cruising with five points to the good at the top of the table.

A win tonight would extend the ga[ between third and fourth place and increase pressure on Israel as both teams fight it out for the second place which will reward in a knock-out round.

Former Celtic players to start tonight are Craig Gordon, Andy Robertson, Kieran Tierney and Jack Hendry.

David Turnbull starts on the bench for Stevie Clarke’s side.
