ANTHONY RALSTON has been struggling with an injury lately, but he’s made the return to training this week.

However, Celtic’s trip to Perth comes too soon for the right-back, with him not quite ready for the match. He’ll continue training with the group on Monday and will be available for selection for Celtic’s match against St Mirren next weekend.

COnfirming there are no new injuries for the Celtic side, Ange Postecoglou told CeltsAreHere.com, who were in attendance at Friday’s Press Conference, that he’ll miss Sunday’s match.

“All good, no issues from the other night. Tony Ralston is training with the main group now, but again we’ve made a decision this week that it will be a topping-up week for him just to get him back to full fitness. He won’t be available for Sunday, but he should be ready to go from Monday next week.”

Alistair Johnston has been excelling in the position, with the Canadian taking over from Josip Juranovic, who’s moved on to Union Berlin.

Had Ralton been fit, he’d probably have played a part in January, and Johnston wouldn’t have had as many opportunities to impress as he has. It’ll be tough for Ralston to break into the team now, but it isnt uncommon for Postecoglou to rotate his full-backs.
