Neil Lennon has told Celtic fans not to expect Boli Bolingoli in the side for at least the next two games with the defender suffering a groin strain during their 1-1 draw in Rennes.

Boli went off in the second half after pulling up with Jonny Hayes replacing him.

Speaking at today’s press conference back in Glasgow, Neil Lennon provided this update for CelticTV.

“It’s not too serious. He’ll be a major doubt for the weekend and maybe Partick Thistle. He has a slight groin strain. Hopefully he’ll only miss one or two games.”

It’s unclear if Boli would’ve played on Sunday against Kilmarnock with Greg Taylor still awaiting his Celtic debut, however, unless Lennon goes with Hayes it looks likely Taylor will start against his old club.

Celtic go into the game with five wins out of five in the SPFL and will be looking to maintain their blistering start to the campaign.

It could prove a difficult day with Killie finding their feet after a sloppy start. The Rughy Park men have continued to be well organised and will be doing their best to try and stop Celtic from making the breakthrough.

Celtic have shown they can be versatile, it all depends on who gets played on the day. Expect at least 2 or 3 changes from the side who played Rennes.
