We’re over half way through international break now but for one Celtic star it’s over prematurely.

Hatem Elhamed has been sent off tonight for Israel during their 1-0 defeat to the Czech Republic. It means the Celtic defender will now miss the visit of Scotland on Wednesday night.

On the upside, Hatem is likely to return to Lennoxtown early after seeing red.

Celtic have had a bad time with international problems in recent times but getting the centre-back in the door early this week will be good news.

Elhamed contracted the virus last time around for Israel, this time, there seems to be less drama surrounding positive cases and both him and Nir Bitton have been away with their country.

Celtic have a game with Hibernian on Saturday and with the news Kristoffer Ajer might not play, Elhamed might be the man to come in and be tasked with keeping the home side out.
