SEAD HAKSABONOVIC was hooked at half time during Montenegro’s slender victory against Bulgaria on Friday evening.

It sparked fears the Celtic player had suffered an injury during the first half. We’re unaware of any reports of an injury coming out of the Montenegro camp at the moment. Right now, we’re assuming it was a tactical change as there were two subs at half time.

Nikola Krstovic’s first international goal snatched a late 1-0 victory for Montenegro on in Bulgaria to open their European Championships qualifying campaign on a winning note and topping Group G with one match played.

Haksabanovic is just off scoring a vital goal for Celtic against Hibernian in the SPFL before flying bout to play for his country.

The Celtic midfielder has been used more as a sub for the Scottish Champions since joining in the summer. However, as of late his second half performances see him pushing for a start.

Montenegro will be delighted to grab the win against Bulgaria. We’ll be keeping a close eye on Haksa and any issues that may arise.

Celtic fans are hoping to get a clean bill of health from their international players come the end of next week. The title run-in starts in just over a week and we need our squad to be fit and ready to go.
