DUDU DAHAN will be no stranger to Celtic fans, the Israeli agent has done many deals with the club over the years, usually when Neil Lennon has been on board.

The agent helped bring Ismaila Soro to the club last January and before that, he was the man who brokered the deal to bring Hatem Elhamed to the club.

Dahan has tonight used his social media scouting page to correct false information going around about his client.

For weeks, we’ve been told the Israeli has been homesick, and while that’s true, the player has apparently not expressed a huge desire to quit Celtic in January.

While the player remains apart from his young family, he has made it clear through his agent he is a Celtic player and wants to remain a Celtic player in the coming months.

“Recently a lot of debunked and wrong news has been published about the Israel and Celtic player Hatem Elhamed.

“The only right thing is that Hatem is proud to belong to a club the size of Celtic.

“After everything he’s been through in his career Hatem is not one to give up so fast. He is more determined than ever to do everything to fight for his place in the wonderful team and club squad.”

Many Celtic fans have been very understanding of the situation Hatem finds himself in. Living in a foreign country without the physical support of your family through and unprecedented pandemic can’t be easy.

Israeli clubs have been aware of Hatem’s situation and there remains a link which could see the player move on in January but it’s by no means a forgone conclusion after this statement.
