Legia Warsaw appear to be desperately struggling to sell tickets for Artur Boruc’s final match after pricing controversy.

It looks like the Polish club are trying to cash in on the goalkeeping hero’s final game as this morning the club has released a special collection of clothes and accessories dedicated to the match.

The match sparked controversy a few weeks back when a group of supporters hit back at Legia for the pricing of tickets.

Last season, the Polish side finished 10th in the league with the fans rightfully frustrated having won the championship the previous season.

Boruc also weighed in on the debate telling fans that they didn’t need to attend the match and could understand their frustrations.

The whole situation appears to have been woefully handled and presently it doesn’t look as if there will be too many inside the Stadion Wojska Polskiego in just over a weeks time.

There are empty seats all over the 31,000 seater stadium with prices at £25 which is more than the club charged for Europa League games last season.

If this game wasn’t being played in tribute to Boruc then many would be rightfully questioning the opposition as Celtic fans will remember what Legia fans were like when the clubs met at Murrayfield eight years ago.

It benefits the team if there is an atmosphere in the stadium with this being our last pre-season test on the road.
