Celtic target and Preston North End central defender Ben Davies has emerged as a shock target for English Premier League giants, Liverpool.
As reported by journalist Dominic King, Davies who is out of contract in the summer is now supposedly a late target for Liverpool who has had several injury problems throughout the season when it comes to defensive areas.
Liverpool are in talks with Preston to sign Ben Davies from Preston for £2m and deal looks increasingly set to happen. It's likely that Sepp van der Berg will go to Deepdale on loan, also.

Alex Neil has been adamant that Davies won’t be going anywhere this window but when a club like Liverpool step in it becomes a whole new story. If they have real interest it seems likely that he will make the move there.
This would add to what has been a frustrating transfer window for the Celts, failing to get another target in the door.
Central defence isn’t just an area that Liverpool need to add too. Celtic are in desperate need of centre backs after what has been a shambolic season defensively for the Hoops, despite signing big target such as Shane Duffy.
It remains to be seen where this deal will go but at this stage, it is looking unlikely.
Frustrating transfer window!!! We done nothing right up to the last few days and still done nothing.
Neil should learn to SHUT UP. Every time a move is mentioned his gob reacts quicker than his brain. He should learn to WAIT. Like my pal in Norwich says, he’s just a big mouth.
