SKY SPORTS journalist Anthony Joseph believes Celtic will go into the market for a goalkeeper in January after both Scott Bain and Vasilis Barkas have been found wanting in the position since the start of the season.
There’s no confidence in either man to shut out and make an important save when our backs are against the wall.
The Greek has come back in after a spell on the sidelines and looked hopeless.
It’s a major concern for Celtic as they get set to fulfil their December calendar.
Joseph speaks about Celtic going for a keeper as a matter of fact.
Not really sure what Vasilis Barkas brings to the table. He’s only been at Celtic a few months, but I can’t see standout qualities – shot-stopping, commanding his area etc. Celtic don’t have time to wait for him to get settled and it’s why they’ll be looking for a keeper in Jan.

Michael Stewart wrote on social media yesterday evening he wouldn’t be surprised if Celtic go back in for Fraser Forster.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Celtic are already trying desperately to get Forster back on some sort of deal. Goalkeeping position is desperate just now. While the defence simply cannot continue to making the mistakes they are if they’ve any hope of resurrecting their season.

The keeper is sitting on the bench for Southampton and doesn’t look as if he’ll get game time.
It would be negligent of Celtic if they didn’t at least ask the question.
Pride may have to be swallowed on both sides for a deal to be made. If there is one to be done, Celtic should be handling it now in anticipation for the window reopening in Jan.
