Celtic now know their exact path to the Champions League group stage with the Scottish champions being drawn against Slavia Prague in the playoff round should they beat Cluj.

In what was potentially one of the toughest draws Celtic could have gotten in the playoff, the bhoys will have to be at their best to get past both Cluj and Prague.

Neil Lennon and his team head to Romania this week for the first leg of their third qualifying round tie against Cluj. Both clubs are gunning for the Champions League and it’s likely to be a hard-fought affair on the night.

Celtic and Cluj were drawn first in the playoff draw and the winning club will be at home first against Slavia Prague, however, as we’ve seen from previous rounds, sometimes this gets switched about.

The first leg will be played on August 20/21 with the second leg a week later on August 27/28.

Right now, it’s all about Cluj for Celtic.
