CELTIC were linked with a move for Jordan Ibe last summer with the winger on the periphery of the Bournemouth squad. It appeared Celtic tried to bring Jordan in on loan but a deal couldn’t be done.

As we approach the end of this season, Celtic have been alerted to the news the midfielder’s contract with the Premier League Club will not be extended according to SunSport.

The paper writes: CELTIC have been told they can land long-term target Jordon Ibe for NOTHING this summer.

Jordan is in the final few months of his £40kpw deal and is now free to talk to any club about a move.

This is where we find out if there was genuine interest from Celtic or they wanted the player to plug a gap on loan for the season.

Jordan was bought by Bournemouth from Liverpool for €18m but now according to Transfermarkt, the player is only valued at €6m. No doubt someone will take a punt on him but it was only this week the former Liverpool player was banned from driving for 16 months for crashing into a coffee shop then fleeing the scene as reported by Sunsport.
