Celtic dominate the Scottish Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year nominees for 2023.
This news comes as no surprise because, throughout awards season thus far, it is the Hoops who have dominated.
This is the case yet again and for this particular award, there are four nominees, three of which are Celtic men.
The players that have been put forward are the talismanic Kyogo Furuhashi, solid Cameron Carter-Vickers and consistent Callum McGregor.
Motherwell’s Kevin Van Veen is the other nominee.
All of the players mentioned here are more than worthy winners of the award.
Kyogo has been central to the Hoops in 2022/23 due to his goalscoring capabilities and Carter-Vickers has been nothing but solid at the back.
Moreover, McGregor has led by example in the middle of the park, keeping the Bhoys ticking over in every single match.
The winner of the award will be announced at the SWFA dinner on Sunday the 28th of May.
