Celtic youngster Cameron Harper might not have got onto the pitch during Celtic’s win at Tannadice but the young Celtic hopeful was delighted getting into the match day squad.
The midfielder who has been capped by the USA under 20s has been quietly going about his business in the reserves. Now training with the first team, Cameron got the experience from making the journey to and from the stadium and being in the dressing room as Neil Lennon and his coaches did their thing.
The game ended in a win for Celtic but it wasn’t easy. There will hopefully be a time this season when Neil Lennon can feel comfortable playing youngsters if the game is beyond reach of our opponents.
Until then, the winger is happy to bide his time and shows the correct attitude. After this season, there will likely be a lot of change at Celtic and youngsters will certainly get their chances to impress. It’s up to them to make sure they’re ready when the call comes.
