There has been so much to talk about and discuss about Sunday’s Glasgow Derby we totally forgot about the top trolling Celtic did prior to kick off!

Cinch sponsor the league but The Rangers have refused all season to display any of the advertising material because they claim it’s a conflict of interest with one of their personal sponsors. It’s bad form from the Ibrox side who put other clubs money at risk by their idiotic stance.

It went to a whole new level a couple of weeks ago when the Cinch logo had tape put over it in order for them to do post-match interviews at Fir Park. The move was rightly ridiculed by many people on social media, pundits and fans alike.

Knowing their reluctance to be pictured with anything Cinch in it, Celtic did the league sponsors a huge favour by having a Cinch archway for the clubs to stand beside before the game. As the teams took their place on the field the digital advertising boards around the pitch all turned to Cinch advertising, it was impossible for them not to be pictured with the League sponsor.

The lengths they’ve gone to this season to avoid stuff like this has been very poor.

However, their stance has raised the profile of the league sponsor to heights it wouldn’t have without the attempt to boycott. Go figure.

The Rangers managed a draw against Celtic at Parkhead on Sunday, they really needed a win to keep them in the title race. Celtic are in poll position for the title.
