Mikey Johnston has been flying since moving down to West Brom on a six-month loan deal from Celtic.

The wide-man has scored seven goals and registered one assist in 15 league appearances for the Baggies. His performances in March earned him Championship Player of the Month.

His success South of the border has taken many by surprise, and Brendan Rodgers last week threw the attacker a lifeline, admitting he may get another chance at Celtic when he returns to Glasgow this summer.

Such a happening would intrigue many, much like the club’s social media activity on Johnston today.

Over on their official Instagram page, Celtic wished the Irishman a happy 25th birthday but on X, they seemingly didn’t, despite doing so for Joe Hart.

The sole reason one can think of for Johnston’s well-wishes not being posted on X is the criticism of him that may be received in the comments but other than that, it is difficult to comprehend why the club would post on one social media app but not the other.
