CELTIC’S early goal was cancelled out by Sakala’s second half equaliser in a day where there Hoops edged closer to winning back their SPFL title.

Celtic were wasteful in front of goal, with many chances going a begging in the first half. We could have won it in the first half, and we could’ve lost it in the second half. A draw was probably the right result.

Celtic were on the receiving end of some poor refereeing decisions. Fans felt they were denied a stonewall penalty and The Rangers were lucky to finish with eleven men on the Park. A last man tackle only seen the Ibrox player revive a booking, and no player was punished for the constant fouling on Giakoumakis.

Nevertheless, Celtic still sit six points clear at the top of the table. The points shared mean that Celtic lead by six points, with nine left to play for.

The score line reflected how the game played out, both teams missed big chances. Celtic started and ended nervy, but played well overall.

As usual, the atmosphere was top-class.

Celtic face Hearts next Saturday, when a win would all but confirm the league.
