Craig Gordon could have a feature-length movie made up of short clips of his shot-stopping abilities. He has made saves that no keeper should have the right to make. He has made saves were the ball looked in the net only for that big white glove to come from nowhere and save the day.
Nobody can question Gordon’s shot-stopping ability. The modern-day goalie needs a lot more in their locker than just stopping goals, insane as that sounds. Brendan Rodgers in particular likes attacking moves to start from his no.1. He likes his goalie to be able to play football. This is quite simply an attribute big Gordon doesn’t possess.
When Brendan Rodgers signed Bain, he mentioned his ability on the ball and the calmness he plays with. So what’s kept him from becoming the first name on the team sheet? A lot of Celtic fans feel after Gordon’s last performance and Bain’s latest it is time for a changing of the guard.

So far this season, Rodgers has mainly used Bain for cup matches, maybe it’s time for a run of consecutive games?
