CHARLIE NICHOLAS believes that Celtic will win the league if they leave Ibrox with all three points on Sunday.

Celtic are in the driving seat at the moment, three points clear of their rivals. However, if they are to lose on Sunday, the Ibrox side will draw level on points but remain second place on goal difference.

On the flip side, if Celtic win, they extend their lead at the top, making a comeback for their rivals a tough challenge, especially when they are set to welcome them to Celtic Park after the split.

Celtic could potentially pile on the misery, but they need to win Sunday’s game before even thinking of this.

Many agree with Nicholas; if Celtic do win on Sunday, Postecoglou’s side has almost won the league. Hopefully, Celtic can ease the pressure and win the third Glasgow Derby of the season before travelling to Hampden.

As quoted by Glasgow Live, the former Sky Sports pundit said;

“The Premiership trophy will be heading back across Glasgow if Celtic beat Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday.

“That would leave Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side six points behind their rivals – and with an inferior goal difference of at least 15 – with just six league games to go.

“People are saying Gers can’t afford to lose this one and they are right. It is an enormous game for the defending champions.”
