Former Celtic striker and BT Sport pundit, Chris Sutton has said that Celtic attacking midfielder Ryan Christie can be a frustrating player.

Writing in his weekly Daily Record column, Sutton claimed that Christie is a player who can frustrate him because of his rushed nature with the ball at his feet and also suggested it could be time for Tom Rogic to start on Sunday.

”Ryan Christie has great energy. Celtic play with added tempo when he’s in the role. However, sometimes he frustrates you as it can be rushed.

”Credit to him for trying to make it happen, but he pushes it.

”There are occasions when it just needs some finesse. For someone to relax in a deadly area and Rogic does just that.”

At times Ryan Christie was a player who did frustrate a lot of the Celtic support by doing things such as taking potshots from range that you thought would have no chance.

However, after last Saturday’s embarrassing performance, in which Celtic had 0 shots on target, some of the Celtic support may offer Christe a little leeway now.

You could see the impact he had with that energy on Thursday night. He was looking to make things happy and with the run of form we are current, we require a player as hungry as Christie.

No doubt, Rogic was also impressive against AC Milan, for the first time in a long time he looked back to the player. He has well and truly put himself back in contention for a starting take against Aberdeen tomorrow.

As much as Christie he’s frustrated the Celtic support this season, he also deserves a start tomorrow and I believe there is a high possibility of us seeing both, in that starting line-up.
