Never one to sit on the fence is Chris Sutton. Himself and pretend Rangers fan Robbie Savage were presenting BT Sports show this morning when the Ex-Celtic striker got put on the spot to rate Steven Gerrard’s season out of ten.

Unlike the rest of the couch, Sutton has actually followed the Scottish season to give a fair assessment. We are not too sure where anybody gets an “eight” from? This time last season Pedro Caxihina had a better record than Steven Gerrard currently holds. Pedro got his marching orders, if Steven Gerrard was not an ex-England captain would anyone be giving him a score of eight?

Celtic are still on course to record another treble-winning season. They have an eight-point gap in the league despite an ugly looking injury list which has plagued the Hoops all season. Gerrard will come up against Neil Lennon on the 31st of March maybe that will be a better time to put the scorecards in.
