Celtic defender Christopher Jullien has hinted that he is edging closer to a return to action, a year on from his knee injury.

On this date last year, Jullien sustained a dreadful knee injury when he collided with the post in a 3-0 victory over Dundee United, which finished off the year of 2020 for the Hoops.

Since that day, he has been missing from action recovering from his knock, with little updates about his progress and when he may return to the first team.

However, in the last 24 hours, Ange Postecoglou confirmed that the Frenchman should be back in contention next month (Read More).

Jullien appears to have backed up those claims with a potential subtle hint on his Instagram story that he is nearing the long-awaited comeback in Postecoglou’s Celtic side.

So far this season, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt and Stephen Welsh have all played their part in the backline and hold the best statistical record in the Scottish Premiership for goals conceded this campaign.

Jullien will add more quality to those options and provide competition in the back four between the available first-team defenders.

Hopefully, we don’t see any more setbacks in his progress on returning from injury. However, it definitely looks like the 28-year old is nearing his comeback.
