Celtic have securing the signature of highly-rated South Korean player, Hyeokkyu Kwon, on a five-year deal.
This follows the earlier signing of his compatriot, Hyunjun Yang.
Kwon, a 22-year-old defensive midfielder, joins Celtic from Busan I-Park, a club in the second division of Korean football. Despite the lower league, Kwon’s performances have caught the attention of scouts, earning him a move to the Scottish giants.

The South Korean has expressed his ambition to excel at Celtic and eventually earn a move to the Premier League. However, he acknowledges the challenge ahead, given the quality of Celtic’s squad, particularly in the midfield.
Kwon’s signing, subject to international clearance, marks a South Korean double for Celtic. Earlier in the day, the club confirmed the signing of Hyunjun Yang, another promising South Korean player. Both players will join their countryman, Hyeongyu Oh, at Celtic, further strengthening the club’s South Korean connection.
