Celtic were always going to face a tough test in their third round of Champions League qualifiers when they knew they would face either CFR Cluj or Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Tel Aviv were slight favourites in the tie but they got dumped out of the competition tonight at home by the Romanian outfit after a 2-2 scoreline and a 2-3 aggregate score.

Celtic fans will now travel to the city of Cluj-Napoca as they try to cheer their team into another round of qualifiers. Their manager Dan Petrescu has been very vocal in the last few weeks and angry about the number of rounds actual champions of their countries have to play to make it to the group stages.

Celtic pretty much took care of business with Kaluj last week at Celtic Park after they romped home with a 5-0 win. That allowed Lennon to play around with his team selection and give some players their competitive debuts as well as giving others a run-out. There will be no such luxuries with the opposition from here on in as the competition heats up.

A professional performance in Estonia saw the Bhoys win 2-0 with Griffiths and Shved providing the goals.
